| Q. |
What do I need to do? |
| A. |
Agilis provides client libraries for Java (100% Java for all Java-capable platforms version 1.4 or higher), and C/C++ on Windows, Linux on Intel, Solaris on Intel version 7 or higher, Solaris on Sparc version 7 or higher.
You integrate the appropriate library into your application. |
|
|
| Q. |
How long will this take? |
| A. |
The high-level API requires only one line of code be integrated into your application for both product activation and floating licensing. This can be done in just a few hours. If you need a non-standard integration you can also use the low-level APIs. Depending on the complexity of your licensing scenario this could take a few days to a week or so to accomplish. |

| Q. |
How can I integrate Orion into my ecommerce / order-processing system for automated license configuration? |
| A. |
The Acropolis Integration Module provides a pluggable architecture for rapid integration of back-office systems, and an off-the-shelf integration with SalesForce.com. Orion also includes functionally-complete Web Services, back-office APIs and command line tools for integration with external systems.
If you are re-distributing the Orion server to offer floating licensing over your customers' networks you can also automatically configure their server before you ship it using a batch XML import process. |
|
|
| Q. |
Do I also need to subscribe to an electronic license distribution (ELD) service? |
| A. |
Not at all. Orion is a complete solution that encompasses licensing, administration, back-office integration, compliance management and reporting. |
|
|
| Q. |
Can my personnel access Orion from their desktop? |
| A. |
Yes. Orion has a three-level administration model: one System Administrator per Orion service, one Product Administrator per product, and a Domain Administrator per domain. You can therefore delegate administration to the lowest appropriate level. Your personnel can log in from any web browser to configure licenses and run reports from any web browser. |
|
|
| Q. |
How much admin is required once Orion is up and running? |
| A. |
Orion is designed for unattended 24 x 7 operation, with tools such as automated archival and backup, with automatic email alerts on specified events. |

I need to support a platform not in your standard list. Does this mean I can't use Orion? |
| A. |
