Q.

What license models does Orion support?

A.

Orion is a network licensing platform that supports the complete spectrum of network licensing scenarios, from Internet-based activation of perpetual node-locked licenses on connected and disconnected systems, to Internet-based floating licensing and conventional floating licensing over your customers' networks, all with one solution and one API to integrate into your application.

Each license, or group of licenses, can be configured for a range of licensing parameters, including:

-
Time limit (for a trial or subscription license)
-
Feature licensing, where any number of features or options is licensed with an associated parameter
-
Usage-based licensing
-
Custom license parameters
-
Grace periods or usage levels
-
Warning thresholds on imminent expiration
-
.. and much more.

Orion supports both traditional anonymous-user licensing, where a number of licenses are shared between users, and named-user licenses, where a given license is allocated to a specific individual or machine.

For Internet-hosted licensing Agilis also offers the Acropolis On-demand Managed Licensing Service, and the Acropolis Integration Module.
